Justice Served: Victory in Federal Health Care Fraud Case

I recently returned to Miami from a six-week stint in a Detroit federal courtroom fighting for my client, the owner of a pain management clinic. The deck was stacked against her as three co-defendants took plea deals, and another defendant was found guilty at trial. My defendant was steadfast in her innocence and insisted on a trial.

After four years of preparation, and a month and a half long trial, my client was found Not Guilty of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud.

My client, a legitimate business owner, had government plea offers on the table as late as the day before trial after two defendants pled guilty and agreed to testify against her, but she refused—because she was innocent. We fought through a long, complex trial, and the jury saw the truth.

I believe in standing by my clients, no matter how tough the fight. This case was proof that justice is always worth pursuing!
